About me

My natural affinity for colour began 20 years ago when I worked as a Colour Consultant. During this time I used watercolour to demonstrate to clients how to combine colour harmoniously..

My passion for watercolour evolved and thereby creating a range of greeting cards was a 'happy accident'. I have always been able to 'carry any colour in my head'. Leading me naturally to watercolours - visualising the colours unfolding before committing to paper.

I find the process of painting in watercolour irresistible and therapeutic! For me, it’s as much about the process as the end result. I’m constantly experimenting, learning and bringing new ideas into my work; that my paintings, prints and cards are so popular is a wonderful bonus.

I’m best known for my floral and natural scenes which have a translucent yet vibrant quality. These are not pristine still life paintings but my distinctive ‘interpretations’ in glorious layers and living colours.

I am constantly adding to my collection of framed prints, cards and original work..

In addition to exhibiting regularly in a variety of Munster Galleries I have found my passion is in teaching others to enjoy watercolours and try to get to grips with this exciting medium, (beginners always welcome!)

Courses are available throughout the year at a variety of locations including my studio in Bandon for small groups and larger groups in various venues around Co Cork.
